U15's On A Roll In the League

Levens recorded their 3rd league win in as many weeks with a hard-fought win over Cam at Longford Lane. It was the visitors who made all the early running and their energy and drive were rewarded early on when they took the lead. Levens was sparked into life but still couldn’t work any clear cut chances. It wasn’t until just before half time when Jude spotted a forward run for Jae and found him with a precision through ball, which was duly finished by Jae converting what was Longlevens’ first shot at the Cam goal.

After the interval, Levens were much improved and tested the Cam defence for most of the second half. However, it was a mistake by the Cam keeper which was seized upon by Ben, who gave Longlevens the lead when he rounded the keeper and finished from a tight angle. The lead was held onto after sustained pressure in the last 10 minutes from a determined Cam and there was an audible sigh of relief at the final whistle.
