Managers (the two “Dans”) English and MacDonald  said “the young team are relishing the challenge posed by a very strong Minchinhampton team. We’ve had an excellent season to date and since bedding in some of the talented youngsters at the club and added a few strong, experienced players who we know and trust. We’ve been on an excellent run to put us 3 points clear at the top of the league (currently unbeaten in 15 league games). Promotion to Stroud 1 was always our target at the start of the season (something a 3rd team has never achieved) and we’re hoping a strong performance on Saturday will significantly increase our promotion credentials and also maintain our title challenge”

The Dans will be without Tom Powell Davis and Rob Poole through injury. Nathan Walsh and Jack Cornell have been called up to the Reserves and First Team respectively. However, (captain) Phil Webb, Matt Wasley and Antanas Brazdys are likely to return to the team.

Meanwhile the fourth team have a free week in Stroud Division five, but will be hoping that third placed side Stroud Harriers Reserves slip up against Painswick to remain in second place, before the they travel to their counterparts the following weekend.
