The hosts go into the fixture on the back of a decent opening three games to start their season, with 3-0 wins over Easington Sports and Saturday's FA Cup win over Malmesbury Victoria, coming either side of an expected defeat at the hands of title favourites Westfields.

But even though spirits are high, Martin knows his side will be in for a tough night against a side who found a habit of winning their local derbies last season, including doing the double over tonight's opponents.

"The mood in the camp is really good and that was helped by a very good win Saturday in the FA Cup. The atmosphere at the clubhouse on Saturday night was great, from the first team celebrating a tough game, all the way to the other sides celebrating and joining in the First Team's success and that shows how buzzing the whole club is," Martin said.

"But Lydney are our bogey team, especially locally. Last year they had players like Josh Nelmes playing both games and in both he was influential for them.

But they have a good squad and we know that we are going to be in a tough game tomorrow and it will be good to see how the boys react after Saturday's game because yes we have kept another clean sheet but it will mean absolutely nothing if we don't kick on tomorrow," Martin added.

In their opening three games this season Longlevens have scored 7 times and even though striker Brad Martin is the top scorer at the club, as expected to be, Craig Martin has praised the rest of his young side for supporting the forward in the first few games.

"One thing that is great for us at the moment is that everybody is chipping in with goals already. Brad has three but to have Will, Isaac, Harry & Shaun [Will Emery, Isaac Johns, Harry Emmett & Shaun O'Connor] on the scoresheet already it's refreshing for us as for most of last season we struggled in front of goal."

Lydney come into the game at Saw Mills having been victorious on the opening weekend, with a 2-1 win at Flackwell Heath, before being beaten 3-1 at home to Fairford Town last Tuesday night.

Tonight's visitors will be looking for a reaction to Saturday's defeat in the FA Cup, where Lydney were beaten 3-0 away at Harefield

A win for either side tonight will see them join Fairford Town, Reading City and Westfields on 6 points and in joint 2nd place, behind league leaders Binfield who have played and won all three of their opening league fixtures.
