First team manager Mark Moore demands a much improved performance from his side ahead of an FA Vase re-match.

Ahead of tomorrows FA Vase second round qualifying tie against Tuffley Rovers, manager Mark Moore has laid down a statement of intent for his players.

After a 3-1 Hellenic League Premier defeat against the same opposition just 9 days ago Moore wants a better show this time around.

“We let ourselves down last time against them and took it for granted that we would get a win because of their recent form”

“We know we will be in for a battle, especially with it being a local derby and the added fact that we are both relieved from the pressures from the league”

“The players must do more in games like these, as its local braging rights that are at stake”

“The defeat hurt last week so a response is being demanded from the players”

Despite laying down the gauntlet Moore has been reasonably happy with the recent upturn in form that he’s seen from his side over the past 4 games.

“We’re going into the game with 3 clean sheets out of the last 4 games and really looking to build on it. There is a small buzz round the club for this one, what with it being another local derby and adding to that on a Friday night”

Kick off at Saw Mills End is at 7.45pm.
