Clean sheet wins for the 2nds, 3rds & 4ths, while the 1st team lose at Bracknell Town

The calm after the storm of Gold Cup day descending on the region and all 4 Longlevens side had important games to play with vital points at stake in the business end of the season.

The first team travelled east to Hellenic League promotion chasers Bracknell Town in what was billed by manager Mark Moore as a “free hit” game. Isaac Jones made his senior debut for the side starting for the first time in the first team.

A poor first half saw the side gift Bracknell 3 routine goals and went in 3-0 down at the break. A spirited second half coupled with the home side rotating player saw the first team come into the game with some neat play, however a last TJ Bohane goal sealed the 3 points in a 4-0 win for the home side.

Longlevens MOTM went to Ash Wintle.

Andy Davies’ second team travelled to Bibury with a scratch side.

In a tight game with few chances yesterday. Connor Linham gave Longlevens the lead after 5 minutes, with a clinical finish.

An excellent defensive display insured that they held on to their lead and continue to impress in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One.

Longlevens MOTM went to Liam Best.

The third team gave themselves some breathing space as the top of the league and strengthened their pursuit on the Stroud and District Division Two title with a comfortable 6-0 win against Horsley United.

Manager Dan English described their performance and “under par”, however some clinical finishes from; Nick Bradley,
Mike White and 4 from first team prospect Rhys Lewis saw them home.

The fourth team kept up the pressure at the top of Division 5 with a 2-0 win at home against Randwick.

In a scrappy game Scott English and Lee Rutter game them the points.
