Stroud League Division 5 campaign comes to and end with a win.

Longlevens 4ths finished their campaign with an entertaining 5-2 victory over Leonard Stanley. The result could see them finish as high as fourth dependant on other games still to be played.

The 4ths took control of the game very early on and were unlucky not to be 1-0 up when Rob Poole lobbed the keeper from just inside the box, only to be flagged offside.

Longlevens kept momentum and were awarded a penalty after Aiden Hernaman was brought down in the box after a delightful pass from captain Luke Davies who had one of his best games of the season.

Top scorer Lee Rutter netted a 14th of the season from the spot.

Aiden hernaman was once again in fine form and the under 18 player has bee in fine form since Christmas and grabbed two well taken goals as he spearheaded the attack in the absence of Alex Thomas and Joe Pasquet.

Mark Trueman also grabbed a goal in another fine showing from the central midfielder alongside Jordan Papps. Together they dominated a 3 man Leonard Stanley midfield.

Dan MacDonald came on late at the end to steady the ship after Levens had conceded two goals and found himself in the scoresheet for the first time this season with a scrappy goal in the closing stages.

Longlevens will rue games they should of won earlier in the campaign however are still hopeful of promotion, but will have to wait for the allocation of promotions and relegations.
